Common Questions

Do you offer in-home training sessions?
Yes — we offer private training sessions at your home anywhere in Douglas County. In-home training is great because your dog learns in the environment where they actually live. We also train at our facility in Riddle if you prefer, often at a lower rate. Either way, every session is one-on-one with Frank.
How long does training take to see results?
It depends on the dog and the goal — every dog is different, so every timeline is different. But with consistent daily practice, most owners see real improvement every single week. For something like leash pulling, you can typically expect a dog walking well within a couple of months. Board-and-train programs are more intensive and cover more ground in less time.
What training methods do you use?
We use a balanced approach — that means we start with reward-based engagement and layer in clear communication tools as needed for the specific dog. Every dog gets assessed individually. Some dogs do great with a flat collar and treats. Others need more structure, like a prong collar or e-collar, introduced properly and used at the right level. We pick the tools that work best for your dog and your situation — not based on ideology.
What does the free phone consultation include?
You'll get a full behavior and temperament breakdown for your dog, education on what's driving the behavior you're seeing, and a customized training roadmap. If we're the right fit, you'll know exactly what comes next. If not, no pressure — you'll still walk away with real insight into your dog.
What ages and breeds do you work with?
All of them. We work with puppies as young as a few weeks old all the way through senior dogs. Every breed, every size, every temperament. The approach gets tailored to the dog — that's the whole point.
Do you offer board-and-train programs?
Yes. Your dog stays with us at our facility in Riddle for an intensive training program. We build the foundation — obedience, leash manners, behavior — and then teach you how to maintain it when they come home. Board-and-train is a great option for dogs that need a reset or for owners who want a strong head start. Contact us to talk about your dog and we'll let you know if it's the right fit.
Do you offer group classes?
Yes, we offer group classes in addition to private lessons, board-and-train, and in-home sessions. Group classes are a great way to work on obedience and socialization in a structured environment with other dogs. Contact us for the current schedule and availability.
